Dieting. Yikes!!!

I really hate to diet but these past few years have crept up on me.  I love how as we get older our metabolism slows. Why can't the aging process slow down as well.
I love to eat. I love to eat ooey gooey chocolate chip cookies, but I'm at risk for Diabetes.  So I thought maybe this time I would try to eat healthy.  Healthy is not always yummy, but I have to detox myself.  I'm addicted to sweets.  I watch Dr OZ almost everyday and you'd think his comments would somehow brainwash me into eating healthy, but it doesn't.  Anyway, I'm working on a few project and hope to have some down soon.

Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down....The Carpenters.

Rain is always good if you like being a home body, which I'm not.  Plus it's cold and that's a bad combination.  I remember living in South Florida , where it rained pretty much ALL THE TIME. Anyway,  the rain never kept me indoors.  Rain was just a part of life.  I didn't care if my shoes got wet, well because I wore flip-flops.  My son would of loved South Florida, getting his feet wet and not worrying he catch a cold.
I've decided to take these few days of miserable weather to create a few things for my cousin's little girl.  Her birthday is this weekend and I've visited a few blogs for inspiration tearosehome has a wonderful tutorial for cute hair pieces.  I thought I might attempt them.  If you have time stop by that blog.  Just click on the link.  Anyway I've attached a few photos of my recent refashioned clothing.

Refashioned.

I love to go to thift shops.  There's this one thrift shop that sells almost all their items for one dollar.  It's great.  I bought these two items and thought they would make a really great refashioned project.

What can I say, I overreacted.  My stress hormones were beginning to get the better of me.  I thought I was going to be single mom for the next six weeks and it turned out my husband doesn't need to work out of town after all.  What a blessing to have a wonderful companion to share the stress with.
Maybe now I can get to the gym more often and not indulged in the not-so-good for you, but oh so tastey food.
I've been working on a few crafts that I saw on a few blogs such as Ruffles and Things , Tator tots and Jello, and a few more.  They're not as good as the one's  on the blogs, but it's begun to stir up my creative juices.  I've even refashioned a few clothes of my own.  It's really exciting to find old treasures and fix them up into new and hip treasures. They've mostly been for my daughter, but she doesn't mind.  As soon as I get the photos downloaded, I'll post them.  I'd love to do wedding favors or centerpieces because I have lots of ideas, but I have no one to make them for.  I'm hoping maybe my little sister will be the next one to walk down the isle so I can show my ideas.  That might be asking for a lot though.  Oh well, for now I'll work with what I have.

A little of Everything.

I been obsessed with different blogs that many women have posted.  My husband misses out on all the fun I get to experience with the kids and let us not forget the dogs. So got to thinking, I'm not that busy that I can't start up my own blog or continue the blog I started a few years ago.  With all the family and friends that are near and far, I thought this is a fun way to let them look into my simple yet chaotic life.  I love my children, my husband, church, cooking, crafting, sewing and learning new techniques from others. I'd love to share fun and new exciting ways to entertain the family, find bargains, save money ,new crafts and a hodgepodge of things. So please share your ideas and how you juggle family life.
