Going Fishing.

So Troy wants us all to go fishing and I'm not so thrilled. Don't get me wrong fishing is fun but I have so much to do. Tomorrow is Labor day and the kids are off for the day. Troy bought the boys fishing polls so naturally they all want break them in. I know I shoul be alittle more excited about it but I was really looking forward to redecorating the living room. Oh well, I'll just make myself enjoy it.
My parents were here for the weekend. We had a nice visit because the tag-alongs did come with them. I love my sisters and kids, but it gets alittle loud with the extra kids around. So once and a while it's nice to have them all to myself.

School has Started.

Today was a bittersweet moment for me. Drew started kindergarten today. I was actually surprised at how well he did. Naturally, there were other young children who didin't do so well. The kids said they had a good day overall. I did manage to get a nap in with Dallin. I didn't even think of the mess I was neglecting. Hey, sometimes you need to get a nap in. The day went by so fast I couldn't believe it. I went to the gym this morning and grocery shopping. Dallin even stayed in the cart for me. By the time we were done it was nap time. Dallin took in a 2 and a 1/2 hour nap. It was great. I hope it continues this way all year round. I could happen.

Troy sprained his ankle yesturday. I can't believe it. I ended up taking care of him for a little while. For the most part he was a good patient. School will be starting monday the 25th and the kids met their teacher this friday. So far they seem to like them. We shall see. I hope I can manage Dallin without another sibling around. It's so cute he thinks he's going to school too. I sure would like to put in a part time school but I didn't have the others in preschool. I'd feel guilty. I keep you all posted on how the first day of school went.

My honey is home.

I'm so excited Troy will be home soon. It is nice when he is away because then I look forward to seeing him. Isn't it nice to miss our hubbys. Anyway, today was Tori's birthday. We didn't do much. We figured we do something for over the weekend when Troy would be home. We're not sure what to do but we'll make it fun for her. Of course her idea of a good time doesn't include her brothers. That's a big sister for ya. Oh well, she just has 6 more years before she's off to college. Maybe then she'll miss them.

Dr's Visit

We took Tori to the Doctor's office and she told Tori she still has 3 to 4 more years to grow. You can imagine Tori's reaction to the doctor's comment. I've never seen Tori smile so big in my life. She is healthy and ready to play sports. She will be trying out for the basketball team and will be running track this season. Tyler will be taking guitar lessons as soon as we find a teacher for him. Who knows we might just do the internet classes. She also will be going to young womens this next Sunday. I thought this day would never come.

California Vacation

We had a wonderful time in California. It was really nice to be with family. The weather was great and the nights were even better. The kids had a nice visit with the cousins. Troy really likes spending time with the family. It too bad we live 26 hrs away from them. Hopefully he'll be sent on work related trips. Anyway, I'm still trying to get back into the groove of things, but we'll get there.
